Torn Rotator Cuff Treatment

Share

Β

Rotator cuff tears are a common shoulder injury. Medical diagnosis and treatment can prevent it getting worse and get you back to normal more quickly.

The rotator cuff is a term used to describe the tendons and muscles found in the shoulder that function by supporting, stabilizing, and allowing the up and down movement of the arm and rotation. The role of the rotator cuff is to maintain your arm in the shoulder socket. Injury to these tendons may result in pain and decreased range of motion in the shoulder. A torn rotator cuff can significantly limit an individual’s mobility and affect the strength in the shoulder joint.
