Lizette Ortiz was born in Cuidad Juarez where she studied all the way through high school and moved to El Paso to obtain her bachelor’s in psychology. Lizette began to discover fitness and its importance throughout her college experience.
Lizette later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and modeling for 7 years. While in Los Angeles, Lizette became more and more interested in health and fitness, studied nutrition and became a certified personal trainer, all while self-experimenting with different exercise routines and programs and different diets to find what best worked for her. This is how she learned that everybody is different but the basics work for everyone. In 2014, she and her husband moved to Tokyo, where Lizette taught High School English for 2 years before returning to El Paso to settle down.
In El Paso, she first offered fitness classes at different Eastside parks called “Toning at the Park” which many soccer moms joined and enjoyed. Then, she became a group fitness instructor and personal trainer at Gold Gym. Now offering fitness and nutrition coaching independently, she focuses on weight loss for the long term through sustainable healthy lifestyle changes. Her favorite approaches are HIIT/HIRT and circuit training with a lot of combos and variety to keep things fun and interesting! Lizette believes there should be a balance in all we do, including our nutrition and rest, which allows one to stay fit and healthy while enjoying a treat and a few days off every now and then! Lizette adopted a sustainable, healthy lifestyle and transformed her body through years of self-experimentation and studying. “I know how hard it is because I’ve gone through it. Your goal is my goal!”
