CBD, THC & HEMP? What is the difference? | El Paso, TX (2021)

On today’s podcast Spencer Salas and Dr. Alex Jimenez discuss CBD, TCH, and Hemp. Spencer answers questions in an honest and sincere manner bringing light to the complex dynamics of the raw materials and ingredients that are so very important to healing and recovery. Mr. Spencer Salas has a passion for natural healing. He shares his personal story and his powerful “WHY”. He brings awareness to what is sometimes a confusing subject.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: And we’re pretty much live at this point now. Mr. Sylvester Salas, hello, how are you doing? I’m doing good, sir. Hey, so you want to talk to the facial monitor to make your sound stronger in that. In that regard today, guys, we’re going to be discussing one of probably one of the first talks that we have specifically focused on CBD. CBD is a new topic that has pretty much gone around the world over and over again over the last two to three years, and maybe a little bit more as a lot of legislation has been performed. That has allowed for this new product line to be available to a lot of people. So, Mr. Sylvester Salas, let me go ahead and present you guys here, OK? This is Mr. Sylvester Salas. So how are you doing? I’m doing good. My name is Spencer Salas. Oh, my bad. So what I do is I bring in different topics, and we want to bring you in here to discuss a lot of the things that you do. Now you have a website. Tell me a bit about your website and what you do in terms of your product lines?

Spencer Salas: Well, we kind of aim more towards the healing of people. We, of course, you know, when starting a business, you want to make sure your business is profitable, so you’re going to have a good foundation, but we started it a little bit right before the pandemic hit. So we chose to go online because the only thing we had available to get to our customers was the U.S. Postal Service. That’s pretty much kept us growing as a small, small business. We want to reach out and find a better way to heal people and help fight these cancers and eventually become more of a natural source of healing. And we don’t have any side effects or any negative side effects like for your neighbor and stuff like that with pharmaceutical drugs that, you know, go outside of it.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Let me ask you in terms of what you’ve done in the past. When did you begin this company process, and could you tell me a bit of what you did and what was the beginning of your genesis of what happened?

Spencer Salas: Well, it’s been an adventure.

Spencer Salas: It started with small products, and it was just something I chose as a small investment, added to the things I was doing, basically just investing in things I would sell that are in demand. But CBD stood out the most, and what caught my attention was the feedback I was getting from people. And the feeling of being able to get that from people was about more profitable than actually receiving money. So that’s what kind of went to because I would work on these orders and get this final product down. But I wasn’t working because I was. I was doing what I like to do. I found my calling as anyone

Spencer Salas: would say,

Dr. Alex Jimenez: As something that you make a big difference. For now, the story that you have is called What is it? How do you find this, or how do you find yourself out there? Because I know that you’re part of the community now and people are really, really starting to use your products.

Spencer Salas: So we started online, and basically, we wanted

Spencer Salas: to reach out, get our products more to people and more to clients. So we went from online to actual storefronts, which means retailers, food markets, farmers markets, and eventually started going from one to three or four to five to seven locations now. I figured, you know, it’s probably…

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Man, you have seven locations around the whole area.

Spencer Salas: Well, they’re not my locations, and they are just storefronts where we have about 14 different products. Areas. Yeah, and we stop and stock these locations up, which are called co-ops, and it’s a storefront because that’s where we sell.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You actually have a physical location. What’s the website called online?

Spencer Salas: It’s online CBD store dot square dot site.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: OK, that’s square dot site. So I’m going to be popping that up in a second. Tell me a little bit about the beginnings of this.

Spencer Salas: So CBD people will want to ask, Well, what is CBD? Or is it THC? You know, am I going to get in trouble with it? And really, CBD is more on the beneficial side than on the psychoactive side. CBD is mainly from the flower stocks of the actual flower, which means it could do the higher CBD… content? Right, a higher CBD content.

Spencer Salas: Meanwhile, the hemp seed, it’s comes from the cannabis Sativa plant.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I see here on your website, you have quite a different set of product lines, right? Right. So as we project here, how does someone work around your website? So as you kind of talk about the types of products and as you say, these things, I want people to kind of find out where to go and how to work your site. Tell me a bit about this particular site. So in terms of the product lines you have, go ahead and talk to me about the products and the differentiation here.

Spencer Salas: So we chose square because they are more industry-friendly, and they also do your webs and stuff like that. So that’s more of a wiser choice to go with when it comes to our sales platform online.

Spencer Salas: We also chose, you know, to start with one actual product: the young flower that is grown in New Mexico. We started off with that product. You know, we turned that one product into seven different products, which means edibles, consumable turpentine, vapes, pre-rolls, loose flour, basically into gummies and edibles, more like baked goods and stuff like that. We also had to go with the third party of third-party buyers and vendors because we couldn’t make things based on our accrual.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Excellent. Let me ask you in terms of when you mentioned turpentine and different edibles. How is it that you go about choosing your lines, and then how do you find out what are your what do your clients tell you as to what they’re liking, I guess?

Spencer Salas: Well, we don’t. We don’t want to choose. We let the customers choose. So we just want to have a large variety amount. That’s why we involve third parties. So we have what we cannot make when it comes to pets and certain pet edibles and gummies because you do have labs now. The difference in Texas and other states, of course, but the feedback is mainly what helps their medical benefits. In reference, mainly in the CBD oils. I see especially CBD oils are more of a direct delivery system, so it has more effect. But it’s also great because you could also use it as a rub as well.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Well, I got to tell you, you mentioned something right off the bat that you said something about using it for pets. Can you elaborate a little bit on that? Because, you know, there’s a lot of pets that have, you know, we all love our pets, and we all love our animals. And we all do appreciate, you know, the need to be with their good buddies. But sometimes, we see that they’re hurting or have certain ailments, and those kinds of issues affect them. How did you guys begin, and what kind of products do you offer that support the canines or others?

Spencer Salas: We have about two-three multiple products. If you could have your dog consume it, it’s a plus. We started off with chewables, mainly towards dogs and Alaskan, and those are the requirements that we chose to go with that list. But also, we have our own CBD, our local grown housemate. It’s the oil which is made with food-grade mineral oil, which is consumable for men and humans and dogs and canines. We use different delivery systems, so dropping it in their dog treats and stuff like that.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: And what kind of results do you see many people have with these?

Spencer Salas: Especially with bigger dogs. I have lots of families. They have great Danes, and we love big dogs. We have Saint Bernards. Yes. And Pit Bulls as well. Yes. And Schnauzers.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Schnauzers, yeah.

Spencer Salas: Yeah, so.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I have Schnauzers. I have minature Schnauzers.

Spencer Salas: We were raised with Schnauzers.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Can you ever get those things under control?

Spencer Salas: Yes.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yeah. Do you control those? Because I mean, anyone who goes around the house goes at them and doesn’t stop.

Spencer Salas: That’s the thing.

Spencer Salas: CBD puts answers to many questions, to many medical questions that a lot of people don’t really want to

Spencer Salas: put out there,

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Such as what? Like, give me an example of something that people may not be aware of that CBD do assist with.

Spencer Salas: PTSD, anxiety, and with your pet. You know what time you come home, and your doorknobs chewed off. You know that happens a lot if you have a Pit Bull or a German Shepherd. If you have a big dog, a Great Dane, and it’s howling and growling all night and yelping these products, stop all that.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Mr. Salas, I think you’ve opened up a huge area here, whereas we kind of see that we’re going to be able to kind of assess the dynamics of probably what’s going to actually happen over the next couple of weeks because I see that a lot of people are going to want the help with their pets.

Spencer Salas: Well, you see, pets, it’s very important, especially in this area, because we have a lot of militaries. We do have a lot of pets that have served, and a lot of dogs appear to have served and are just like us, you know.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Let me ask you this because you mentioned about PTSD, and sometimes these pets have stress, right? So let’s just talk about our pets for a second here before we get into the human component. What kind of things do you do besides the calm? What type of products would be recommendable, or what type of line of products would be recommendable? From your point of view.

Spencer Salas: I would go if you have a bigger dog, I would go with something with a higher potency. One with a biochemical, a more concentrated CBD, more like an isolate? And we could get to that later on because it’s mainly concentrated on that. So you could put that in the food. You can use many delivery systems as you want to get it in there as fast as possible and build it. So that kind of vitals actually fighting the anxiety fighting those are the stresses and nerves and stuff like that.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I got to tell you, it’s going to be exciting because one of the things I’ve seen is that if we have our pets suffering, we suffer.

Spencer Salas: Yeah, yeah.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You come home, and your house looks like a wreck, or your pets hurt. You can see that your pet hurts. And does it help with certain ailments, let’s say, like arthritis or joint pain in terms of your pets?

Spencer Salas: Oh yes, especially with Great Danes, because they’re heavy, big, heavy dogs, and they like to sit

Spencer Salas: with their legs out. They don’t tuck them under.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: So their hips.

Spencer Salas: So their hips are mainly why because they all sleep with their legs out. Yeah. So that’s the main thing. And when they are yelping, you know, I feel like, you know, you feel their energy and pain. And thankfully, of course, you want to do something.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Let me ask you, in terms of the CBD types, I see your website; do you have different strains on your website?

Spencer Salas: No. The only different strains we have are our third parties and other companies, and we decided to work with them because of the laws. The way it is, you can’t sell New Mexico CBD in Texas. And well, basically, you can sell any CBD product in Texas, and it has to be a Texas product approved by the health department and bar code. And basically, it’s its own little organization, and you can’t find other products from other states.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: In terms of regulation, obviously, we would have to go to New Mexico for the style and types of CBD you would get over there. And obviously, like you mentioned Texas, you’d have to go with Texas types of strains. What are you noticing in the difference in the strains that are in both locations?

Spencer Salas: The difference is that there are more third-party involvement manufacturers, which means that bigger companies have the funds that have their actual labs.

Spencer Salas: They do their own labs, and they’re the ones that are basically hitting most of Texas; they’re the ones that because we look at Texas products, they’re mostly more on the Delta-8 and Delta-9, and it’s a large variety of vapes and design. New Mexico CBD, it’s more towards the farmer, and it’s an independent seller. So you have your own design, your own logo. You could do your own based on the agricultural license. It allows you to be able to extract and oils, and it has certain restrictions, which you can’t do. So it’s different because, in New Mexico, you set up your agricultural license to any farmer’s market. For instance, one of our buyers for a storefront is a food market; you know they have groceries. They chop their own beef and everything. And you know, they’re allowed to sell our CBD because, you know, we’re falling under those guidelines, and they are simple guidelines. Texas, they are more like, we want to know exactly what you have, exactly where it came from and which is understandable because, you know, it’s a tough industry. It’s a new industry. And people who are basically in the industry of CBD and hemp are basically the modern Rockefellers of this. Yeah, yeah.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yeah, exactly. I mean, you hear a lot of people talking about it. I see it in our professional journals that there are people and companies that hit that. I have a question here coming from one individual. It says the differences between marijuana and hemp and CBD plants tell us a little bit about the difference of that, which is a real good question. Tell me a little bit about the difference between marijuana, hemp, and CBD? Let’s take on. Obviously, marijuana is the ganja? Yes.

Spencer Salas: Marijuana is the very controversial one, and so if you want to imagine and start off with that plant, basically the components, it has the buyout of components. It is more psychoactive. It does have medical benefits, but because of its psychoactive activity, it’s illegal. But now, when you want to roll into CBD and hemp, so basically CBD is it is own. It comes from the marijuana plant. OK. And that’s where it grows to its CBD plant. But there is a difference between hemp that the hemp plant comes from the Senate. The SteveA plant is a whole other different plant, which contains no CBD and no CBD compounds. But it also contains medical benefits and bioactive chemical benefits as into large milligram percentages once you’ll see those hemp products that say nine hundred thousand. Well, that’s because it’s a variety of hemp of that hemp seed. You got more into the CBD. The difference is more actually has cannabidiol.

Spencer Salas: Hemp doesn’t have cannabidiol, and CBD has more of the cannabidiol compound, which has most of the medical benefits that go to breast cancer. Now you want to say, “Oh well, it cures cancer.” Well, it kills the breast cancer enzyme, It doesn’t cure other cancers, but it is a healing one. You know, cannabidiol does attack. You have to build it in your system. You can’t just take it one day like, “Hey, hey, it’s not doing nothing.” Well, of course not, you know, like any other drug, you build a tolerance. And that’s what you want. You want to build tolerance you make every day. Now people say, Well, it’s addictive. No, it’s not addictive because it doesn’t have psychoactive benefits.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You know, I remember reading for years that, you know, there was a push for specifically. The THC has its medical benefits, and it shows, well, documentation. But the hemp and the CBD came on, and there was a battle. It was a war that broke out literally solved recently with the farm bill, which allowed for these things to be, you know, I guess, propagated around the United States with different sets of rules. I remember one of the things that were paramount in the decision-making process is that we as humans have a kind of soid receptors, you know, type e one, type e two, cannabinoid one, cannabinoid two receptors. By nature, that means that we ourselves have been needing this stuff from the genetic ontogeny or our ancestors, and for millions of years, we were using this product. So it stands to reason that if we got receptors for this stuff, that is part of a natural need, almost like our food and our need for kind of things like that. What’s your take on the farm bill and the way it actually changed so that we were able to facilitate this new industry?

Spencer Salas: Well, the farm bill has been a blessing to not just us as brokers, you would say, as my term your business. But it is very beneficial to the farmers because if you’re in a land where you know you’re not, you can’t hit the land, doesn’t have its own axle aquaculture besides, like, for instance, you may actually do a lot of cattle and hay and all that, but now you’re adding hemp, now you’re adding hemp to the industry. It’s a big threat as well. But we want to go back to your question. It’s very beneficial because these farmers get to grow. They get to do what they do. That’s why we’re out. That’s why they’re out there. You know what I mean now that we’re able to enter an industry that is not only a booming industry, if we do acquaint what’s right now, it’s almost a six-point four billion dollar industry. Yeah, that and it’s not just going to benefit us, it’s going to benefit the farmers, the farmers being great at it, our grower. I mean, I could go back to him, and he’s grown our strain. He’s grown that straight from Colorado, this third-generation growth strain. And it’s hard work, and it’s hard work because once you get the final product approved by the Agriculture Department. What are you going to do with it? So the problem right now is the fact that that bill has been great. You’re able to produce stable, creating a product that is also healthy for you. People, but being as how are you going to get it out there, who’s there to do it for you? Who’s going to package it for you, right? Do you know what I mean? And that’s the thing now when it comes to your body, there’s this also has the can also have CB one receptors and you also have CB two receptors. Because CBD is not just also CBD there, it comes in various extracts with it, which is CBGs, CBDAs. You know, your body has naturally CBD one CBD twos. Now you’ve seen during the Egyptian times; hemp was used for blankets. They made covers with hemp. They even made curtains with hemp, and they made everything with hemp. You see, this gap is where they stopped hemp production. They stopped hemp and put it in the dark. Why? I can tell you why?

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Tell me.

Spencer Salas: Well, when you get a product that’s going to be able to take out opium, like many other initiatives that capitalize opium and actually go out there and pharmaceutical drugs, and it also causes all these diseases, that kind of stuff. When you get hemp, a single product that replaces seven six different medications, whose pockets do you think it’s going to hurt, you know? Yeah, that’s the thing, and that’s the threat. And it also is a political issue when it comes to taxes.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Tell me a little bit about that, OK, because well, let’s not talk about politics. I have a question here from a patient. Actually, one of my patients is saying CBD and THC. What’s the difference between THC and CBD? Let’s go ahead. Let’s hammer that one away. OK.

Spencer Salas: Well, and we’ll go to the difference. And the difference is it’s the compound. It’s a segregated compound, which means the THC has a psychoactive compound, which means it gives you this euphoric feeling when you’re, hey, relaxed, calm, and high. But it also you know why the reason why it’s illegal. It’s because it separates you from your actual reality. That’s the difference. It does have medical benefits.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: OK. I have a little demonstration actually here that you have here that you put up here. It’s a little bit blurry, but it comes across really well. It’s the THC and the CBD, so it helps ease the pain. The THC helps with relaxation, suppresses pain from nerve damage, reduces risk from nerve damage, and suppresses muscle spasms and welts convulsions. Right. This is the THC, the CBD; what I see here says reduce at least to certain types of seizures. Kills breast cancer cells. Interesting, right? Stimulates bone growth. Stops inflammation. It’s an anti-inflammatory. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which, by the way, inflammation is the source of many diseases.

Spencer Salas: Exactly. So like if you want to aim towards the molecule, set up the structure there. Yeah, OK. If you want to identify the..that’s a big word.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yeah, it’s a tricky word.

Spencer Salas: If you want to identify the molecular structure and where the actual THC component is separate from the CBD component. The cannabidiol.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yes. OK, here you see right there.

Spencer Salas: The difference and the difference is that one’s a double

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Double bond and one’s a single exactly.

Spencer Salas: One’s a double one with a single one. And that’s that double bond is the psychoactive component.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: So right there, what we’re looking at is that little extension and where the hydrogen is attached, or the molecules can attach depending on what’s going on, that’s carbon and to an extension of hydrogen ions. So it’s a CH4 to CH3, and it will make a big difference in the psychoactive component. So, you know, one of the things that that I’ve been seeing here over the last couple of years is that inflammation isn’t the source of many diseases. Yes, and we discuss it here as a functional wellness practice, often inflammation and oxidation, it really or oxidants in the body, anything that can help anti-oxidation or the process of working with like, you know, radicals, right? Oxygen radicals in our body really help. So THC, as well as CBD, particularly CBD, and the situation makes a big difference, right? And let me ask you this when you look at this particular chart and when someone’s choosing the difference between the CBD and the THC, what kind of things do people come in asking for? Specifically, what’s the biggest one that people say, you know what, not a larger majority of people pick.

Spencer Salas: As in a product or?

Dr. Alex Jimenez: As, in effect, an effect. They’re looking for more anti-inflammatory properties. Are they looking for suppressant pain? What is it they’re looking for?

Spencer Salas: Most of my clients have come out with lymphoma, anxiety for pets, and inflammation like you did say.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Well, first of all, Mr. Salas, I want to make sure that that we’re very clear we’re going to have additional presentations discussing these particulars, less anxiety that sounds like a monster subject matter. We’re just today beginning as to what is it? So we’re going to be going elaborate. So don’t feel like we have to go down that rabbit nest kind of because there’s plenty to go over as I can almost see the phones. Yeah, I got a lot of people saying, because does it help with cancer and all that? I can see those questions. We’re going to table those for a future presentation podcast, and we’ll hear it much more logically. Right, right. So tell me a little bit about what they ask for in terms of the symptoms and the presentations they feel that it works for.

Spencer Salas: Basically, the pain, basically the lymphoma, the pain, and being able to sleep at night. People can’t really sleep because of their arthritis. So most of the feedback has come back as in “Hey, I don’t have to take my medications anymore.” I have an aunt out in Midland, Texas, and she has lymphoma, OK, but she doesn’t feel it anymore. So it’s basically me towards that.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Is that’s what she feels? She doesn’t feel it anymore?

Spencer Salas: She stopped taking it and the pain came back. OK? Why? Because your CBD ones and CBD two receptors are not receiving anything.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Right. So there is a big. You know what? Look, the fact is that our legislatures at the federal, state, and national levels see it. They understood it. The studies and the people came. There’s no way CBD, hemp, or THC products would have ever been allowed if there was not an effect. There were lines of people that showed the need for this, and these people lined up, and they became personal. And eventually, some of those congressmen and senators said this stuff works, and we need it and don’t take it away from us. And that’s why it’s there. It’s it’s big.

Spencer Salas: It’s big, but like any other industry, anywhere in the world, everyone’s going to want to capitalize off of it.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yes. Yes.

Spencer Salas: There’s a difference between a real person who has about the hemp products and someone who wants to invest and make money.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Because Mr. Salas speaking about that, OK, because I’ve seen this and I went to a school in the 80s, and I saw a lot of my personal friends. They’ve been following this for literally since the mid-90s. And they are passionate. They are passionate believers of this. You don’t get into THC or CBD because, well, I’m sure there’s a chase for the money, but the passion, the people, the people that love it, the people understand it. A cause drives them in a way that is very deep and very sincere. So, you know, the why is is very big and I love that. Why? Because it’s that why that finds the right product and the right strain and the right design in the right, you know, presentation for someone’s issues. So I love that. Let me ask you because I’m getting some additional questions here and because we have tons of questions because you say, what are the benefits of CBD? And is it real? It does. Is it a cure-all? What does that mean?

Spencer Salas: It’s very, very real. CBD is it’s been amazing to many people. Why? Because of the medical benefits, it’s proven. Inflammation, anxiety, PTSD, people who can’t sleep at night. So you know what I’m saying? I have people come back and me. They’re like,

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Oh, stop, stop, stop right there. There’s CBD that gives energy, and there’s certain CBD that harms.

Spencer Salas: Well, based on your body, you see if you have ADHD, OK, there’s a difference. You are based on the fact that if it’s not you, it’s not something you don’t react to. But if the psychoactive THC product, you will have an immediate reaction because it’s mainly the psychoactive reaction towards your body. You know, you will feel a difference. But when it comes to CBD, you’re not entirely psychoactive, aiming towards your pain when you get your nerves, and you have an amazing CBD compound attack that

Dr. Alex Jimenez: that is such useful information that is really, really. I see that if it’s so, it is a dynamics; it says here the person is also asking, which are the most? What are the principal uses of CBD, and which are the most products sold that people use? I guess what that means most CBD.

Spencer Salas: Well, it’s useful for anxiety again for inflammatory, for PTSD, for pets. Again, that you said it kills breast cancer. Now there are different cancers. I’m not saying because all the cancers we need a healing point. That’s the point where we could start again. That’s when the isolates come in to aim more of direct pain. And that’s where you know; you can begin to an excellent bond to start finding those pains and what was the other question?

Dr. Alex Jimenez: The other question is, are products most sold and were the ones that people seem to migrate to.

Spencer Salas: Again, we’re going to go more into it right now. The highest demanding product is the pet because everyone, everyone loves their pets. Everyone, everyone loves their pets.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Everyone loves their pets; no one says everyone loves their wives. But they love their pets.

Spencer Salas: Let me tell you, a lot of my buddies, their wives have a lot of problem issues, and when one of them comes and tells m, “Oh my wife is sweet,” he is happy. And if he’s happy, you know his wife is happy, you know?

Spencer Salas: So when he says, “My wife is sweet,” I got him. Oh, thank you, and thank you.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: And when you hear that she’s snoring, man. It’s going to be a good day tomorrow, and it’s going to be a good day tomorrow.

Spencer Salas: Oh, yeah, like that. Then that’s the benefits, and that’s what CBD is for.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yes, because one for my dog and one for my lady.

Spencer Salas: Yes, because one for the best friend and one for the lady.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You know what this is? I mean, I mean, this is a movement. This is obviously a movement, OK?

Spencer Salas: It’s a movement, but it’s also a movement that is going to cause a lot of threats to pharmaceutical drugs. You know what it really is?

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I know it, and I hear it all the time. And it’s one of those things where if it has an effect and it’s free, the pharmaceutical will suppress it. Yeah, it’s also, you know, and it’s free because if it’s simple, they don’t want, you know, they want complexity because they get access to the complexity.

Spencer Salas: You see, then that’s what they’re going to happen because all partners were very into making money, right? You know, you ask them, gave away as a percent of their products or promotions or sales or, you know, for benefits. No. You know, a little bit of this. That’s great, that’s great. I mean, but where do they fix, you know how when your child takes this, for their epilepsy? What are the effects your going to take on your bladder cancer? When you’re fighting lymphoma, how are you going to deal with the pain without having bladder side effects? Exactly. That’s the problem now. Now that it’s an industry now that I know everyone’s getting in it, retail retailers are finally getting it all the wrong. People are trying to get in it because, again, this is an actual release.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: How do you help someone pick a good company like yourselves? Because I know that I’ve met you, and I know you are nothing but a passionate individual. You love what you do, and this cause drives you for those that live in different states because sometimes people see they’re far away. How do they kind of, I guess, bet a good CBD organization? Do they have to? Is that something easily discerned, or do you kind of just like just get to figure it out?

Spencer Salas: Well, people go with Google. Oh, there’s Google. Google is Google. What’s the number one spot right now? Right? And, of course, you’re going to get your results from ingredients from other people. And well, that’s great. You know, you’re getting results and versus down fast. But if you want to find a product that’s really for you, I recommend you go out there. You go to stores, buy a little something from here, locally from there, and we’ll talk to your hemper. You know, I like to call them hempers, OK? You know, that’s the nickname I’ve given us. You know, hempers. So, you know, talk to your hemper and talk to them, talk to them. Like, What can I do? To know, you know, you don’t want to travel millions of miles apart. It’s not going to fit, or you want to be in one of almost a hundred dollar tree oil that will not do anything. So you know, you want to kind of test it out, you know, to test out like any other product. The great thing is that you could test these products without any negative side effects, like, for example, you know, drugs in the mail for like anything. Let me send you a new couple of pills of our drug, and let’s see how it works. You see, it’s a good tactic, but you’re still giving out.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Let me ask you something because I noticed right now I have another person asking me a question here. It says, What are the laws in Texas to regulate the age limit? And also in that same kind of like what are the laws again in Texas to regulate this? Is there an age limit, and can CBD be detected on a drug test or a field lab? How does that work?

Spencer Salas: OK, so Texas

Spencer Salas: CBD about

Spencer Salas: CBD 21 and up. Ever since the tobacco laws changed turned 21 and up hands down anywhere. So when it comes to Texas, it’s like, again, its own legal structure. And it’s because, in Texas, for every product that sells, you have to have your permit, of course, but every product that sells has to have a barcode with exactly lab results. When it comes to field testing, anyone could test anything if they have the proper right tooth to test for that enzyme because that’s what those tests do. They test what enzymes are in your body? Yes, and that’s how it

Spencer Salas: filters through to the drug detector filter deal. So Texas, we knew it’s the only thing that comes out as CBD. They’re not going to test for CBD. Why? Because it’s a legal product, they’re going to test for THC. So when it comes to testing THC, when it comes to a field test, it is going to come up with THC because of its legal content. Now, this is where the gray area comes from. This is a problem. This is why the barcodes and all this stuff came in because cops were like, ” Hey, we are pulling over people with products that we’re putting people in jail when that illegal product.” You know, and that’s why these new CBD laws came out. So to identify where it’s coming from, the THC content now uses a barcode, and they scan the barcode and tells you exactly where it is and where it came from.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: That means that the government has to or those analyzing federalize. Yeah, they have to kind of have some really good spectrum or spectrogram microscopes to be able to see what type of version the product line is, right? So that makes perfect sense.

Spencer Salas: When it comes up in a drug test. I’ve only seen results like with gummies. If you eat a couple of CBD gummies, and of course, it has the THC, the legal content, but that’ll come up on a drug test. I’ve seen that, but on every other product, it hasn’t.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You know, I think the best bet if you’re going to be going to a, let’s say, a federal job or an interview of some sort is probably to avoid it, just to be on the safe side. You don’t want to get caught up in that because you can lose a great job over that. Yeah. So the questioning goes o. It says, what is the process to harvest the product from CBD? OK. I’m sorry. No. Let’s go to the other one. That’s I think that we’ll take that one next. Is it addictive? And what are the emotional benefits? Is CBD addictive?

Spencer Salas: It’s not addictive. The only thing that has the healing benefits. That’s right. That’s something I like. That’s what I love.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I love that! That it’s the addiction is the freedom you get.

Spencer Salas: It’s what I leave the house for a man like,

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You know, so that’s incredible. What is the process of the harvest and production of CBD? Well, I don’t know if that’s I think that’s its own podcast.

Spencer Salas: Well, it starts off with choosing your product. Which strain do you want to go with? Well, the point is, it’s easy to concede that you want to go with your fields, that you want to have good irrigation, and then you start growing. If it meets the legal content, you send it to your agricultural department, or whatnot is going to be based in New Mexico, personal experience. So, you know, you would send them your sample, and it comes back to image 0.03 THC. Then the whole acre is basically…

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Oh, so there’s a little system to work.

Spencer Salas: Yes, by batches. And once you get that back, they took ours in eastern New Mexico. It took about three generations to get it to that legal content and to be able to sell it. But yeah, basically, the hard part is gaining the CBD products to the people and even the people to know where that is at and what to choose.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: That is awesome. Let me ask you the last question. What is the dosage, and how long should you take it for the benefits? So again, what is the dosage they’re asking and how long does it take to see the benefits, and how does it affect your body in cellular health? So let’s take the first one, which is the dosage, and how long should you take?

Spencer Salas: Well, you want to go based on your bodyweight like any other drug. Again, you will have to experiment, as we say. Just to test and try it out.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: I’m not going to overdo feedback. “I’m not going to go into a lot of…”

Spencer Salas: Like I said, that’s for THC. CBD does not do that

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Do that, OK?

Spencer Salas: If they are very nervous. So they definitely wil be a lot calmer.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Yeah, the use of CBD has it down,

Spencer Salas: But again, yeah, that’s where that’s that’s the difference. You know that is OK.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: How long does it affect your body cellular for? How does it affect your body? So certainly, in terms of its health, how does it affect it? Does it change it, or does it just sits in its process?

Spencer Salas: What I’ve seen, around twenty-one days. About fifteen to twenty-one days. I’ve seen people come back like, Hey, I’m not feeling it annymore, I’m going to stop taking it. So that’s an average time I’ve seen with most of my clients and clients that my storefronts get from their feedback. You start seeing an immediate and good dose, depending on where you’re at. You will see an immediate change, and again, once you when you’re there, don’t stop taking it. Don’t stop taking it; make it a part of your life, make it part of your diet, make it part of your workout. That’s why it has all these benefits. Yeah, exactly. Make it part of your life, you know? And that’s what it is. And that’s how the changes, the changes that you’re paying for this only able to live, able to sleep, you’re able to concentrate, for instance. Me, for example, I have PTSD and it has done a lot for me. It’s done a lot for me. I don’t feel like I’ll be able to be where I’m at now, as if I’m happy and mentally know without these products that I basically need.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: You obviously have this powerful life for this. You’ve gone through some stuff that has, you know, made you some changes. You know, as functional medicine doctors and functional wellness and natural body specialists that we are, we see the value in this, and when I go to symposiums, I see this stuff being. It’s very evident that it’s making a very powerful hit in our community of wellness and fitness. I want to say thank you so much. You know, we’ve been on here almost an hour now. It’s kind of crazy. It’s forty-eight minutes of talking. It really seems like it’s gone through quickly. I want to welcome you back so that we can discuss these particular dynamics, you know, things like PTSD and its effects. Things like anxiety, things like colon effects, inflammation in general. All those topics that we were able to address. When we look at this stuff here on these topics as design, we need to look at nerve damage and reduce risks, you know, issues on convulsions. I want to understand that a lot better. I know a lot of people want to understand the breast cancer issue. The reduction of different types of seizures. Antipsychotic, psychotic results. The antioxidants that I love so much, we have to do this. So each one of these topics are elaborate, and they’re deep in terms of its presentation. So we’ll be talking about those things. Mr. Salas, I want to thank you so much for being part of this, and I look forward to being able to go deep on this. We’re going to be adding the phone number. I see the title was a little offset because it was a prior podcast, so we’re going to fix that, and then we’ll make sure we propagate this out so people can start seeing it. So, Mr. Salas, I want to thank you so much for this thing. I think that you’re a kind person. Anything else you want to leave us with?

Spencer Salas: I want to thank you and your staff for being there for me and helping me with my issues. You guys have been great. I really recommend it to anybody out there with chiropractic issues. Yes. Vista Del Sol, Dr. Jimenez. We’ll see you, man. This is not about me, but all of us.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: This is about you.

Spencer Salas: We provide, and we actually provide happiness and health and healing. Absolutely. You know that’s why you went to school for that long.

Dr. Alex Jimenez: Well, to give people health as the same thing, right? I totally agree with you, right? It is one of those things where it’s our calling to work with people and take care of people. That’s what we do. We serve. Yes, sir.

Spencer Salas: And so like, that’s what we’re here for, and I feel like that’s why we are still alive

Dr. Alex Jimenez: That’s all right. Thank you so much, brother. And thank you for it’s clear that you’re a very unique and special individual, and I look forward to being able to thank you. I look forward to going deeper into these complex issues that I think affect a lot of people. So this is the beginning of CBD. What is CBD for El Paso, Texas? And we’ll be going over some more stuff later on. Thank you, guys. God bless.

Spencer Salas: Thank you.
