Ankle tendonitis is a condition that affects many people; specifically, those who excessively overuse their feet, such as athletes.

Most reasons for the development of posterior tibial tendinitis are similar to the progression of Achilles tendonitis. Jumping can also be another reason for this condition, or sometimes, trauma from an injury. However, serious damage to the posterior tibial tendon or an improper walking gait can also lead to its development and the progress of its symptoms.
