Chiropractic Functional Medicine Obesity Team. Being Overweight and/or obese is defined as an abnormal/excessive accumulation of unhealthy fat that increases an individual’s risks of developing a variety of chronic health conditions. These include:

A body mass index – BMI over 25 is considered overweight, and over 30 is considered obese. There are various reasons why individuals have difficulty combating obesity. Usually, it results from inherited factors, combined with environmental, personal diet. And exercise choices. Fortunately, modest lifestyle adjustments can improve or prevent health problems. These include:

  • Behavior changes
